Jane Marsh

Jayne Marsh, MDPF.,LCGI.,IoPF

I am known in the industry as a red head scouser from Liverpool. I have over the years won many competitions eg 'Up and coming talented designer of the year' and 'Teleflorist Cup'. I have exhibited in the Chelsea flower show. I also run my own floristry work shops as well as being owner of The Little Flower Shop, Burscough.
p.s. I am also known for liking the odd drink of Guinness

John Paul

John Paul

Award winning floral designer John Paul has over 20 years experience within the floristry industry and is one of Northern Irelands leading Wedding & Event Florists. He has worked extensively throughout Ireland and the UK both as a Floral Designer and as a tutor / demonstrator. John Paul is now based in Derry-Londonderry, Northern Ireland where he has opened his shop.
John Paul has a fantastic eye for detail working to an extremely high standard of finish; this has lead to him being commissioned to design pieces for high profile events, royalty, and visiting heads of state as well as a host of celebrity clients.
John Paul is the current chairman of The Londonderry & District Floral Art Society and is also listed in the prestigious 2017 Good Florist Guide, the exclusive guide to the finest Florists in the UK & Ireland.
As well as a successful floristry business John Paul is also a respected Milliner & designer. Designing and creating Occasion Wear, hats & headpieces under his brand “John Paul Couture” John Paul designs are often seen on well dressed ladies at weddings & race days as well as on the catwalk at Fashion Week. John Paul Couture won the North West Business Award “Craft Industry of the Year” and the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards "Accessory provider of the year"

Karen Mullan

Karen Mullan

Karen Mullan is a well established florist in Buncrana, she has worked in Bloomin Marvellous for 14 years and took ownership of the company 13 years ago. Karen's background was interior designer in Cookstown and Derry and a vision merchandiser.
Karen is well knowing for her wonderful wedding flowers where she goes above and beyond for all her brides all over the North West.
In the past Karen has always taken part in the flower festival both in Buncrana and in Derry.

Catherine Carter

Catherine Carter, MDPF.,LCGI.,IoPF

Floristry is Catherine’s second career, following a career in industry that took her from her native Scotland to the Middle East, where she worked in the Oil industry. Catherine then returned to England where she took the opportunity to retrain in Floristry. After achieving her floristry qualifications Catherine worked in local shops in the Cheshire area before opening her own successful shop in 1995. Catherine has her own style that is commercial and influenced by the vibrant colours and decorative styles she experienced whilst working in the Middle East. A great believer in continuous professional development Catherine took the opportunity to update her design skills and joined the Welsh College for a further eighteen months of study successfully achieving her MDPF. This journey has seen Catherine demonstrate at various events throughout the country and also teach the next generation as Lecturer at Forth Valley College along with private groups, while continuing to run her own commercial business.

Jean and Elma

Jean Bruce and Elma Huey

Jean Bruce ( left ) and Elma Huey ( right ) first met when they were studying for Floral Art Diploma at Strabane Campus of North West Regional College some 10 years ago and have been firm friends since then. They are both members of Londonderry and District Floral Art Society and have taken part in many Flower Festivals where they work together successfully. Jean is currently Chairman of NIGFAS, a position which takes her out on visits to all the Flower Clubs within the association and one which she enjoys immensely.

I have been in the floristry industry for 6 years after completing level 3 in floristry at College.
I have always enjoyed and appreciate working with flower and plant material creating different designs for different occasions.
I enjoy the challenges of working in a busy flower shop and the importance of team work.

Bernie Jackson

Bernie Jackson

Bernie Jackson has been involved in flower arranging for over 20 years, both social ably and professionally. She is a member and presently secretary for the Londonderry floral art society. Specializes in weddings and enjoys putting work into floral competitions. She has participated in numerous floral festivals of which there is 4 this year alone.

Avine Corcoran

Avine Corcoran has worked with flowers for about 40 years and has studied floristry in the UK, Netherlands and Ireland.
She was a founding member of the Irish Florist Guild, and has shown her uniquely creative talent with flowers at many demonstrations throughout Ireland.

Christine is a third generation florist, she has been working in the floristry industry for 25 years. Christine has managed and ran her own family business, within this time. She comes with a wealth of experience and enjoys being creative, her designs are of a luxurious standard.
